EMSELLA rebuilds a weakened pelvic floor with thousands of contractions you could never manage on your own. Twenty-eight minutes. No surgery. Nothing inserted.
EMSELLA has been featured on national television — including The Doctors, where host Dr. Travis Stork called the pelvic-floor treatment a “game changer.”
Media coverage refers to the EMSELLA treatment and technology.

Most people quietly rebuild their lives around these — the aisle seat, the spare change of clothes, the map of every washroom in town. You don’t have to. If any of these feel familiar, it isn’t simply age or “how things are now” — it’s a muscle group that has weakened, and one you can train again.
A cough, a laugh, a sneeze - and a little leak. It is common, but it is not something you simply have to accept. The aim is to move through your day without a second thought.
The dash to the bathroom that plans your day for you. When the urge arrives before you are ready, it is a sign the muscles that hold everything in place have weakened.
Planning outings around where the washrooms are. Going just in case, again and again. A stronger pelvic floor means fewer interruptions and far more freedom.
Up at one, two, three - not because you want to be, but because your bladder insists. Reclaiming your nights is often the very first thing people notice.
A weaker pelvic floor can quietly affect comfort and confidence with intimacy. Strengthening those muscles helps many people feel more like themselves again.
A sense of pressure, or that something has shifted, can mean the pelvic floor needs more support. Strengthening it is a gentle, non-surgical place to start - and we will always tell you honestly if you need more.
EMSELLA is licensed in Canada to treat urinary incontinence in women and men. Where a symptom points to something beyond that, we assess it at your consultation and, if needed, refer you on — honestly.
EMSELLA uses HIFEM — high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy — to contract your entire pelvic floor thousands of times in a session. These are supramaximal contractions: stronger than voluntary effort can reach.
The pelvic floor is a muscle group. When it weakens, it can be retrained. You sit. The chair does the work.
Nothing is inserted. Nothing is removed.
Fully clothed, on the chair. Most people read.
HIFEM fires thousands of supramaximal contractions through the whole pelvic floor. Intense, not painful.
Muscle rebuilds over the following weeks. In the study, results kept improving after the course ended.
Leaking when you cough, laugh, sneeze or lift.
The sudden, urgent need to go. Often called an overactive bladder.
Both at once. Forty per cent of participants in the published study.
FDA cleared and licensed by Health Canada for electromagnetic stimulation of the pelvic floor musculature, for the treatment of urinary incontinence in men and women.
Pelvic floor strength plays an important role in intimate health and sexual function. By stimulating and strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, EMSELLA may help improve muscle tone, increase sensation, support sexual function, and enhance overall confidence and intimate well-being.
The treatment is non-invasive, requires no undressing, and lets you stay fully clothed and comfortably seated throughout every session.
EMSELLA is licensed by Health Canada to treat urinary incontinence. Its role in intimate wellness relates to strengthening the pelvic floor — individual results vary, and we’ll talk through what is realistic for you at your consultation.
Seventy-five women. Six 28-minute sessions over three weeks.
reported a significant reduction in symptoms
of pad users stopped using pads entirely
symptom-score improvement at three months
The study followed 75 women. No men. It was not sham-controlled. And about one participant in five saw no significant change. You will find larger numbers quoted elsewhere online — we use the ones the paper actually reports.

Symptom scores were better at the three-month follow-up than immediately after the sixth session.
You must not be treated if you have a pacemaker, a defibrillator, a drug pump, or metal implants in the treatment area. Pregnancy is a contraindication. Tell us if you have a copper IUD.
Persistent incontinence can have causes that need proper medical investigation. EMSELLA is not a substitute for that, and we will say so if we think you need one.
We review your full medical history before any treatment.
No. You feel intense but not painful contractions, and a tingling. The published study reported no pain and no adverse events.
No. You stay fully clothed, seated. Nothing is inserted.
The published protocol is six sessions, twice a week, over three weeks. Your own course is confirmed at your appointment.
Some people notice a change after two or three sessions. Muscle strengthens over weeks, not overnight — and in the study, results kept improving for three months afterwards.
None. Return to your day immediately, including driving yourself home.
For most people in the published study, yes: 81.33% reported a significant reduction in symptoms. About one in five did not. We would rather tell you that than quote a number we cannot stand behind.
It is different. Kegels need you to find and contract the right muscles, correctly, every day. EMSELLA reaches the whole pelvic floor at an intensity voluntary effort cannot. You will see “7x more effective than Kegels” quoted elsewhere; we have found no study supporting it, so we do not repeat it.
Yes. EMSELLA is FDA cleared and licensed by Health Canada for electromagnetic stimulation of the pelvic floor musculature, for the treatment of urinary incontinence in men and women.
Anyone with a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug pump, or metal implants in the treatment area. Pregnancy is a contraindication. Tell us about a copper IUD. Persistent incontinence can also have causes needing proper investigation.
The study measured benefit maintained at three months. Like any muscle, the pelvic floor can weaken again, and maintenance sessions are common. Beyond three months the published evidence thins out, and we will say so.
EMSELLA is licensed by Health Canada to treat urinary incontinence. In practice that means stress leaks (with a cough, laugh, sneeze or workout), urge leaks (the sudden, hard-to-defer need to go), and the mixed picture of both. In the published study, scores on a standard incontinence questionnaire improved by about 64% three months after a course of six sessions.
Yes. The pelvic floor matters just as much for men. EMSELLA is used for male urinary incontinence — including the leaking that can follow prostate surgery — by strengthening the same muscle group, fully clothed and seated. We confirm it is right for you at your consultation.
It is a hammock of muscles slung across the base of your pelvis. It supports the bladder and bowel — and, in women, the uterus — and it is what keeps you continent. Pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, prostate surgery, ageing and heavy lifting can all weaken it, and like any muscle it can be trained back to strength.
You stay fully clothed and simply sit on the chair. It triggers thousands of supramaximal pelvic-floor contractions — far more than anyone could manage on their own — while you read, message or relax. Each session is about 28 minutes, and a typical course is six sessions, usually twice a week over three weeks.
These are two of the most common moments the pelvic floor weakens, and they are exactly why many clients come to us. We ask you to be at least six weeks past childbirth, and it is not suitable during pregnancy. Everything is confirmed at your consultation.
EMSELLA is non-invasive: no anaesthetic, no needles, no recovery time. That makes it a gentle first step for many people. It is not a replacement for medical advice — if your symptoms have another cause, we will say so and point you in the right direction rather than sell you sessions you do not need.
Yes — pelvic-floor strength plays a real role in intimate health, and many clients notice improved sensation and confidence. Our intimate-wellness section sets out what EMSELLA may support. To be clear and honest, its Health Canada licence is for urinary incontinence, so we frame intimate benefits around strengthening the pelvic floor and talk openly about what is realistic for you at your consultation.
Because results build over a course rather than a single visit, EMSELLA is offered as a package rather than one-off sessions. The right number of sessions, and the price, are set out at your consultation once we understand your goals.
Incontinence is common, and almost nobody talks about it. You can talk about it here. We will confirm whether you are a suitable candidate and explain honestly what EMSELLA can and cannot do — with no pressure to proceed.
